Rodent Patrol
Well, I sure am a wonderful blogger! So sorry it has taken so long for me to give you guys an update.
We have had a busy few months since the last time I jotted down anything. Kelly is now 7 months old, today. She has just recently started sitting up unassisted very well and is still a pretty good baby. She is very partial to her momma ( can't say that I blame her) and doesn't really want to be out of my sight. She weighed 13 pounds a few weeks ago and she is just so tiny and precious. She is the spittin' image of Lilly when she was that age, so I pretty much know how she'll turn out, I suppose. She does have lighter eyes than the other two but my poor babies are just carbon copies of each other.
Today was Lilly's last day of Kindergarten at Cooper. Now...Hopefully I can make it through the summer without losing my mind. Her teacher is moving away and she is sad and will miss her. She is a strong reader and is eager for First Grade.
Kyler has yet to let me read him a book. He is such a busy body and won't sit still for anything. He may be in Kindergarten until he' s ten years old. He finally stopped running around the house with his underwear on his head yelling "superman!"
Lilly and Kyler just got two hamsters on Sunday. I am still unsure about the names but for now, I'm just hoping they don't dismember my children any further. On Sunday afternoon, they were playing with them in the livingroom and Kyler's hamster bit his pinky finger and proceeded to try to RIP IT OFF! The thing would not let go! I really think he probably needed stiches but after consulting a doctor (friend of family), he said it would heal okay. Lord help me! A dog, a cat and two hamsters.....a baby, a little terror , drama queen and a husband that complains more than the children when he has a little cold....These days won't last forever, I know....but today I may lose my mind.
Other than that, I'm good. I'd probably be a little better on prozac but oh well.
Later Taters!

Where he leads, we will follow.
Yes, that's right. Where God leads us, we will follow. Our family has been upstaged with some changes concerning Edwin's job. We do know that God will always provide considering...he always has. We are taking things one day at a time and we'll see in a couple of months just what god's plan is going to be for us. I am finding it very easy to be supportive which is suprising for me. I know that is my job in our relationship but it has definately been a tool which I've needed over the last week or so. With some good friends one One Awesome God......we've been able to see the good in this situation and no much of the bad. I am looking forward to supporting and encouraging Edwin to the best of my ability while in this transition. He is not leaving his job nor changing jobs but has decided not to pursue a partnership with his current partner. After months of tension and headaches, God has decided to, once again, take care of it. Please pray that Edwin can keep his focus on the Lord and He'll make it happen for us. What God brings you to, he will help you through.

Our baby girls is getting to be so much fun! Smiles and coos.... She still just eats, sleeps and poops, but she does it with a perky attitude now! It makes it more fun for mom changing diapers when the pooper smiles and laughs while your knee deep in stink! Being a mom this time around is enjoyable when Kyler and Lilly love her so much and we're not dealing with any jealousy. I'm thinking about sending Kyler to preschool this fall, but not sure where yet. Dad's new project
Edwin brought home a teacup Pomeranian yesterday to add to the family. So far, he is a good little sport. No whining, slept in the crate in our bathroom and never made a sound. So, he's okay in my book. We need all the sleep we can get right now. I will post a picture of him pretty soon.

You can't have too many presents!
One more Branson trip for the year....We stayed at the Grand Country Inn where they have the indoor water park and they had a blast! We spent all day Saturday swimming and soaking in the hot tubs. We headed out for dinner and then ventured to find the Christmas lights. Unfortunately, they moved them and we just ended up driving around burning gas for a while. We then got the itch for Krispy Kremes......but.....once again it just wasn't meant to happen. Kyler wet himself ( partly our fault) and refused to go inside. So - TO GO it is! A dozen donuts later, we were all back in the hotel room sipping hot chocolate and chowing down with George Lopez on the tube. While watching television a commercial for Underdog (the movie) came on and I yelled at Kyler (UNDERDOG!) No one knew it, but apparently he was using the toilet and ran out of the bathroom with his pants around his ankles! He was good for a laugh! Kelly slept erratically all night and made for an early morning for momma. Headed to McD's and then off to Tanger outlet mall for last minute shopping. Edwin was ready to go when we got out of the car...but 5 stores and hundreds of dollars later, we journeyed to Silver Dollar City. IT WAS FREEZING!!! The only warm one was Kelly, layered under blankets all warm and toasty inside. Edwin, Freddy and the crazy kids actually rode rides and surely got frostbite on their extremities...but no such luck..all digits accounted for while we watched the parade and glanced at the tree while we hiked out of there. I've never been so happy to get in the cold...car. Home and in bed was what we all wanted....Edwin's mom looked pretty cute in her purple stocking cap, though..ha ha
Man oh Man! What a great Christmas we had! Santa was very sneaky this year bringing Kyler and Lilly both scooters and Miss Kelly her very own set of wheels! (aka walker) He sure knows what they wanted...wonder how? Good news to report...when everyone saw Santa this year - there were no tears. First year in many for us. Grandma and Grandpa Alas' presents were a big hit this year. (Little Pet Shop for Lilly and Underdog and Spider man for Kyler). Kyler got lots and lots of cars and Curious George for his watching pleasure while Lilly got Baby Alive and all the baby gear she could ever need to raise her own baby. Ratatouille was a big hit with our sassy little 6 year old. Kelly was unfortunately not impressed with anything she received but then again, she is just 7 weeks old....she entitled to be unemotional and dissatisfied. Mom got a beautiful new ring, purse, kitchen items and her favorite thing of all....AN ORANGE RACHEL RAY SKILLET! Had to try it out to cook breakfast...Works great! I feel like a chef! Dad got a new screwdriver, cologne, wind suit, movies and a valet for his dresser. Santa forgot to fill mom's stocking so, after a quick trip to her bathroom - he filled it right up! Good job Santa.... Well it's off to use me skillet!!!!

12 MORE DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!
Oh my! Christmas is almost here! Here's the latest scoop.
Lilly has joined Girl Scouts and was invested last thursday at her meeting. She was chosen as the Terrific Kid at school and was treated to lunch and and lots of goodies to celebrate. On Saturday we went to the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO. The kids had fun (even though it was raining and 35 degrees.) and got Precious Paws (PM version of Build a Bear). Kyler got a puppy and Lilly got a kitty. Then we went to see the christmas lights at the Vietnamese church in downtown Carthage. It was beautiful! And the best part - it was free! Kelly has been spending her days...pooping, eating and sleeping. Not necessarily in that order either. :) It has been hectic but worthwhile. I am busy trying to wrap without little eyes around. I just tell Kelly not to tell anyone what they're getting. I think my secrets are safe with her. For now.....
